Introducing to you the Asus Zenfone 7 Pro that has been recently announced alongside with Zenfone 7 but there are very minor differences.

I must have to say the Zenfone series by Asus is the most underrated smartphones in the market because they come up with very unique and cool concept and if you remember the 5000mAh battery for the very first time was introduced by Asus in the Zenfone serires, after that the large battery in smartphones is in trend till date.

Toady, in this post I am going to share with you the Asus Zenfone 7 Pro detailed review along with hands-on and unboxing. I will discuss every specifications each one by one but first let's get started with unboxing.

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro Physical Overview

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro looks quite similar to the previous Zenfone 6, but it is quite heavier and large than the previous one. The phone weigh around 230 grams and it looks more premium in terms of build and looks as compared to the Zenfone 6. The back of the phone is made up of glass with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Asus Zenfone 7 PRO Pastle White

The phone comes in 2 different color variant one is Pastle White and the other one is Aurora Black. I got the pastle white colour for me cause I already have the Asus Zenfone 6 in black and I like the colour much than the Aurora black.

So, surrounding up the Zenfone 7 Pro we got

These overview is similar to what we get to see in Asus Zenfone 7 but as we are doing hands on so we will talk about the Zenfone 7 Pro only.

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro Display Specifications

Zenfone 7 Pro comes with a 6.67" inches Full HD+ AMOLED display, which has a slightly lower pixel density of pixel compared to the Zenfone 6 because of the resolution but really that doesn't going to matter a lot. The front is covered up with Gorilla Glass 6 protection but due to flip camera setup the neither comes with dust or water resistance.

In addition to AMOLED display we also get here a 90Hz refesh rate of the display and 1 ms response time with 200Hz touch sampling rate. So, this feels really smooth and sharp.

The phone comes with a triple flip camera setup with a 64-megapixel wide angel IMX686 primary camera with f/1.8 apreture, a 12-megapixel IMX363 ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom including the Optical Image Stabilization.

Now talking about the video recording we got upto 8K at 30 fps, what's really interesting is that because we're using the same camera on the rear as well as on the front, that does mean that you can get 8K video recording from the front facing cameras on the Asus Zenfone 7 Pro. And till date I think this is the only phone to record 8K video from front camera. But, there's also options available for 4K upto 120 fps, 1080p upto 240fps and 720p upto 480fps.

The flip camera like before allows for an uninterrupted screen without any kind of punch hole or notch. The bezels are a little thick though which I guess kind of counteracts this and that flip mechanism has been rated for upto 200,000 flips which is 100 flips per day for 5 years.

The flip camera mechanism in Asus Zenfone 7 pro is faster than the Zenfone 6 and one more thing is that it the camera will automatically retract if you drop your phone.

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro Processor and Storage Details

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro is powered with latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chispet and Adreno 650 GPU. The phone is available upto 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

So, there doesn't seem to any negligence towards the speed and the performance of the phone. The gaming is going to be precisely awesome.

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro Software Details

This phone comes out of the box with support of Android 10 and ZenUI 7 which is to sum it up like a stock plus. It follows the same theme and aesthetic of stock Android but comes with the sprinkling of the useful extras to enhance the user experience.

I actually really liked the ZenUI and it's come quite a long way compared to what it used to be before. Asus has really taken feedback on board and made it really clean and simple. The UI also features Game Genie which is to enhance your real gaming experience.

Asus Zenfone 7 Pro Battery and Charging Details

The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery with the support of 30W fast charging adapter out of the box, which is pretty good. You can get 0-60% in around 34 minutes or 0-100% in around 1hr 30 min.

However, unfortunately the Zenfone 7 Pro does not support wireless charging. This is something that I wish the Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro did have. The battery optimizations allow you to adapt rhe phone to certain charging habits with custom modes.
